by TeriHello my name is Teri; I am the coordinator and founder of Teri’s Kidz Consignment Sale. I am also a stay-at-home Mom. My husband, Robert, and I have been blessed with five children; Morgan 27,
Jason 24, Allyson 17, Caroline 9, and Elijah 6.
Welcome to our (21st) semi-annual consignment sale. I have been participating in consignment sales since my oldest son was a baby. Our first sale was in August of 1999, and it was held in our garage in Mooresville, NC. We had fifty consignors at that first sale and our garage was packed to the ceiling. Interest grew for the next sale so we decided to expand and add more consignorsand started holding our sale at bigger locations. We are now at our limit of 250 PLUS families consigning. Our sale is the original and biggest in the Mooresville Community.
The families of the sale bring items that have to do with KIDZ! : Gently worn clothing (size infant to twelve), toys, baby furniture, car seats, strollers, highchairs, walkers, exersaucers, books, videos, Little Tikes, outdoor equipment, and the list goes on.
Our sale has become a ministry and service to our community. My older children help with various tasks during the sale. My husband even takes two weeks of vacation each year to help. What a wonderful lesson to my family in giving back to our community. I get compliments on my children’s clothing, and I only paid a fraction of the cost retail department stores charge. Families of the sale receive 70% of their profit, much better than the consignment shops offer. They also get to shop for their families before we open to the public. We donate a portion of our profits to Statesville Pregnancy Resource Center, a wonderful ministry to our Community and to mothers who might need assistance. We will also be supporting and sharing the vision of the the FUTURE FUZION TEEN CENTER here in Mooresville Many families also donate their unsold items to the Pregnancy Resource Center and the Iredell Foster Care.
